INSTRUCTIONAL KITS FOR TRANSITION AND MORE FROM ATTAINMENT COMPANY!

The SERC Library has expanded our collection of instructional kits from Attainment Company which provide comprehensive lessons and curriculums for transition and special needs students! 

Visit the library to borrow up to three of these kits for three weeks. Members can reserve head online, by phone or email. We will hold them for three days for you. Hope to see you soon!

THE SERC LIBRARY INVITES CHILDREN IN GRADES K-4 TO VISIT THE LIBRARY TO READ TO A DOG!

R.E.A.D. sessions are scheduled on March 18, April 8 and May 13. Sessions fill up quickly! Call or email the SERC Library and sign up your child! Bring a friend!


The R.E.A.D. Program offers children in Grades K-4 the opportunity to read to an assistance dog for 15 minutes. Children often enjoy working on their reading skills when they can read to a dog. Some children gain confidence around dogs at the same time.

Fun activities and snacks are provided and our library has many wonderful children's books! Please sign up for a library card when you visit the library. Membership is free.

English Learners: Resources to Support Educators and Families

ENGLISH LEARNERS: RESOURCES TO SUPPORT EDUCATORS AND FAMILIES

A new resource available for supporting instruction for English learners, this guide has pertinent books, assessments, articles, internet sites and professional organizations for teachers, families and administrators. 

Topics include bilingual education, cultural diversity, culturally and linguistically diverse students, culturally relevant teaching, dual language instruction, English as a Second Language and language acquisition. 

TO BORROW SERC LIBRARY RESOURCES:

Visit the SERC Library to borrow Inservice Education resources, Instructional Materials and Tests. Pick up and drop off these items at the SERC Library.

Did you know the SERC Library now loans books through InterLibrary Loan service? To borrow Professional Books, Young People's Books and Family Books, call your town or university library (if you are affiliated with a university) to make a request. You may pick up and drop off books at the location where you place the reserve.
